Just because Ramadan is over, doesn’t mean you should stop how far you’ve come in becoming a better Muslim
A better person
A better human being
Just because Ramadan is over, doesn’t mean that you stop catering to your mother
Just because Ramadan is over, doesn’t mean that you should stop reading the Qur’an, because God made those words for you to reflect not only in the blessed month that just passed, but for your life, so it can be blessed!
Just because Ramadan is over, doesn’t mean you stop waking up for Fajr on time, it doesn’t mean that you stop praying every prayer on time, it doesn’t mean you stop going to the Masjid because it’s too far, IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU STOP STRUGGLING! Because “Indeed, the righteous will be among the Gardens and springs, Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. They used to sleep but little of the night, and in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness.” (51 : 15-18)
Just because Ramadan is over, doesn’t mean our character flaw comes back, because if we truly took advantage of this passed Ramadan, then we would have the Nafs in a tight grip and be able to control it!
Just because Ramadan is over, doesn’t mean we let the cup of tea start mixing again, because if we are the tea, and Shaytaan is the spoon, then he will surely come back and try to mix an already perfectly prepared cup of warm tea!
Just because Ramadan is over, doesn’t mean the grind has to stop! Because Ramadan is simply a stepping stone for those of us trying to better ourselves to reach better heights, and until next year, for those of us who will see it inshaAllah, WE KEEP CLIMBING!
Just because Ramadan is over, doesn’t mean we stop going to the gym that’s entitled “Iman Lift” with the slogan of “Bro, do you even lift?” Because you and I know toooooooooo well that Shaytaan was locked up and he been workin on his muscles, his technique, his game plan to get us to fall back down the steps we climbed up from! BUT WE ARE STRONGER THAN THAT. WE WILL RESIST HIM. WE WILL TUNE-OUT HIS WHISPERS.
TO BECOME BETTER!
So to everybody that had the tawfiq to take advantage and be present for this lovely day of Eid, I say, Resist the whispers of the Shaytaan! Step on his roadblocks to elevate yourself to a better street!
Elevate yourself to a Street called Straight! As-Siraat-al-Mustaqim! AND LET US BE AMONG THOSE WHO ALLAH HAS FAVORED (1:6)
I hope you all have a beautiful, magnificently blessed, full of your elegant smiles and exquisite food, alongside your loving family and their pleasing faces, day!!
(More than anyone or anything, this is a reminder to myself first — May Allah grant your duas, and give you peace in this life and hereafter)
And from Dr. Fakher to you, Eid Mubarak my lovely friends!
